Prior to mustering in, accompanied Gen Nelson's expedition into Eastern Kentucky; Battle of Ivy Mountain
Mustered in at the Fair Grounds, Mount Sterling Pike near Maysville 01/27/62
remained in KY until August 1863 - ordered to Glasgow; then Gen Burnside's expedition to East TN
Engaged in repelling a cavalry attack at Kingston
Siege of Knoxville; march to Strawberry Plains; Mossy Creek
Battle of Mossy Creek 12/17/63
Regt reenlisted, marched to KY via Big Creek Gap
Jan 1864 - Veterans furlough
reassembled in camp at Louisville; guard duty during Feb & March 1864
April 1864 - ordered to Camp Nelson; marched through mountains of KY via Jacksboro, TN to Knoxville; by rail to Red Clay, GA & joined Sherman's Army for Atlanta Campaign
Battle of Resaca [3 killed, 28 wounded]
At Cartersville, Etowah River, Dallas, Kennesaw Mountain, crossing Chattahoochie, Atlanta & Jonesboro
As Sherman started March to the Sea, regt marched to Nashville; then Pulaski,TN

Battle of Franklin
Dec 1864 - Battle of Nashville
Moved down river on transports; up Ohio River to Cincinnati; took passage on B&O RR to Washington, DC
encamped at Stoneman Barrecks
Marched to Alexandria, VA
Ocean Steamer to Fort Fisher, NC
Severe fighting - south side Cape Fear River; Wilmington; Town Creek
Greensburg
Mustered out 06/01/65 & sent to Louisville, KY, paid off, disbanded
