I believe he may have been captured & imprisoned at Camp Ford, Texas as had prisoners from Webber’s Falls recently been sent.

On 9/13/1862 he mustered into "D" Co. KS 11th Cavalry
(date and method of discharge not given)
He was listed as:
* Missing 11/8/1864 Webber's Falls, CN
