I am trying to find out what engagements or duties Company A., 9th Kansas Calvary participated in during the Civil War. Researching Edward P. Kinney, who mustered in August 12, 1862 and mustered out May 19, 1865 presumably at Fort Leavenworth, as a private. Is there a published roster that includes, besides the officers, a list of the privates? Also is this
unit considered a 'volunteer' unit or a regular army unit?
