Thanks for your kind words... I always believed that given enough visibility and enough time that eventually something would be done, but I also recoginzed many years ago that I am no preservationist... so I focused on telling the story and drawing attention to Island Mound...

My hope is that this initial acquision is just that, and that eventually there will be plans put in place to preserve, protect and interpret all land associated with this very historic event.

Many, many people have been involved in this effort to date, and I would like nothing more than to one day visit a National Park dedicated to Island Mound.
