I agree with you 100 percent. If I were at war, I, too, would want to be cozy with all the best warriors on the "block." The Missouri guerrillas were an arm of the Confederate Army, not always appreciated to the full. But in Price's case, the general understood what the guerrillas were accomplishing in a total war environment, where guerrillas, mean age eighteen years old, were executed in virtually all cases when captured. Thanks for your comments from a professional soldier. Sometimes the "armchair generals" don't get it right. You fellows usually do. And I think I know why. If a soldier doesn't think straight, doesn't recognize battlefield realities, he is soon a dead soldier. Thanks.
