Rose Mary, I agree, of course they did. The guerrillas were an arm of the Confederate forces, especially during 1864, when even Todd became a scout for them and lost his life to a sniper.The guerrilas, rather than being a band of outlaws, as many of the Northern-biased histories maintain, who operated randomly, the guerrillas, in fact, were occupied most of the time in attacking the Union military infrastructure in Western Missouri, supply trains, the mail, the railroads, you name it and maintained a continuous contact with Confederate forces and answered their requests for help. Yes, I agree with you totally.
