Re: Union Indian Brigade by Wiley Britton

Chuck, you have the right of it when it concerns Britton. His older works are quite valuable now. His is the only real insight we have at present of the inner workings of the Union Indian Brigade as well as the activities of the 6thKansas Cavalry. I particularly note is work as a claims taker after the war and later when he lived and worked in Springfield, Mo. He couldn't keep politics away from history and he rarely gives us any authority to work with.
