David, I am certain that Dyer took his records from the men who served in the companies that later came to be known as part of the 6th Kansas. This reorganization problem was similar in how the Missouri State Militia was organized and the changes that was made in Feb. '63' in that organization, but there it is more easily defined.Whereas, with the Kansas regiments we have to go to the roots and that is the company organization. I dearly would like to see their day and order books to sort it all out. What I have done is timeline the companies individually. For me that is how to define the 6th Kansas.
