I live in S.E. Kansas, and I am looking for advice on how to locate civil war camp sites in S.E. Kansas. The only real battle in my area is the Baxter Springs battle. Although there were several battles acrossed the border in Missouri, that makes me think that there had to be camp sites over in S.E. Kansas, they may of only been one night camps, but as stated in a earlier post, if a troop stayed at a place, I would think others would use the place to, I would be grateful to anyone that could give me any advice on how I might go about locating these camps. So far I have been unable to find anything pertaining to these campsites.
