I recently learned from my father that my great grandfather was in the civil war and is buried in New Albany Indiana. He's unsure about when he died. I've tried to find any info on him. So far unsuccessful. He told me he was buried in a cemetary close to the river in New Albany. I found the cemetary but they tell me they need year of death to identify burial plot. Is anyone aware of any websites that would list all soldiers,when they served etc...? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
