My ancestor, Tiffin Donaldson, died at Camp Wickliffe, KY in 1862. His widow had a difficult time getting a pension for her
children as the official records listed two different death
dates and two different causes of death. I have not been
able to find anything about deaths at Camp Wickliffe and
there is no burial info in the pension files. Typhoid fever was one of the causes of death listed, and I'm guessing there would have been a quick burial, but I'm surprised it was not officially marked in some way. Do you have any other stories
related to Camp Wickliffe?
