Hello all.
I am Mike from Sumter, SC. And yes I am jsut another damn Yankee who never went home!
I have 12 members of my family who fought in the Civil War.

My GrGr Grandfather 3 tours.

Silas Johnson 11/14/1862 Co. K 57th Indiana Inf.
2nd 5/24/1864 Co. B 134th Indiana Inf.
3rd 1/25/1865 Co. B 147th Indiana Inf.

His Brother survived the Sultana & Cahaba POW camp

Lewis Johnson 12/15/1863 Co. G 9th Indiana Cavalry 6/17/1865/ Paroled P.O.W

Alvey Johnson 2/28/1864 Co. H 130 Ind. Inf. Vols

Harrison R Johnson 8/8/1861 Co. A 9th Reg't died 8/0/1862

George W. Johnson 2/10/1862 Co. F, 147 Reg't Ind. Vol. Fifer

Quincy A Johnson 2/8/1865 Co. B, 147 Reg't Ind. Vol

William K Johnson 8/11/1863 Co. I, 69th, Ind. Inf.

Some side notes
Lewis Johnson Was captured at the battle of Sulpurs trestle AL. Survived Cahaba P.O.W. camp and the Sultana disaster.

Harrison R Johnson Died Sept./10/1862 of Typhoid Fever In ambulance on march to Franklin Ky. .
Was company blacksmith

William K Johnson was killed at Thompson's Hill, Port Gibson, Miss. 5/1/1863, Buried on battlefield. Re-interred in Vicksburg National Cemetery

Turner H. Johnson pension record states that in a Cavalry skirmish he helped capture two pieces of Rebel Battery & turned them on the enemy and while
supporting the battery, would load then drop to the ground and while firing the guns over his ear the drum of his left ear was ruptured.
