I looked at a copy of the card for David Goodwin in the General Index to Pension Files, 1861-1934 on Ancestry.com. It showed that Arrena (spelling on card) J Lane applied for a widow's pension under application number 270192 on June 28, 1880 for David Goodwin's service in Company D, 48th Indiana Infantry (the date is approximate since it is not clear on the card). On the card under the space for the certificate number there is a blank. This would lead me to believe that she did not get the pension.
