Re: Southern Unionists sent to Indiana?

Thanks for the info. The story is similar to my gg grandfather's. He was in a Confederate regiment fro Ark. and when he went home on leave to NE Alabma, he either was sent north by his unionist father to live there or he joined the Union army, possibly an Indiana unit. He later settled in Indiana and then movd to Kentucky. He never moved back to the South. I wish I could find that source where it said some unionists in southern states found sanctuary in Indiana, Ohio, etc. during the war.
