There are two John Lyles, I would believe may be the same individual, or perhaps Father/Son. Believe the middles initial is 'F' or 'S', easily misread in old world cursive. Individual records may be procured through the service provided in the red enclosed box above. You should ask for both personal and pension, if filed, records.

Enlisted on 9/8/1864 as a Private.
On 9/8/1864 he mustered into "L" Co. IN 6th Cavalry
He was Mustered Out on 6/15/1865
