Yankee Compiled Service Records are rarely found in Fold.3. What we have are index cards revealing unit ID and nothing else.

There is a card for him in the Miscellaneous file here:

Luther Davis, Private/Corporal, Company K, 1st U. S. Veteran Volunteer Engineers

M1290: Alphabetical Card Name Indexes to the Compiled Service Records of Volunteer Soldiers who Served in Union Organizations not Raised by States or Territories, Excepting the Veterans Reserve Corps and the U.S. Colored Troops

….

I checked the pension and widow’s pension records and there is nothing to be found in either of these indexes.

I suggest you take advantage of the service provided by these message board where you can procure his service records and also pension records if any can be found.
