Thanks so much for the post ! I'm actually " East Tennessee Roots " on this forum. Not long after posting here I went to work with help from the Macoupin County, Illinois genealogy site and came up with this photo of Capt Hulse. I was very fortunate to have help from these good folks and be able to tell this true Civil War drama from my family tree in east Tennessee !
