Capt. Abraham C Hulse Co.E 122nd Illinois Infantry

Hello from East Tennessee... Happy Fourth of July !!!! Captain Hulse, my 1st cousin 4 x removed on my mother's side, left Sullivan County, East Tennessee in the early 1850's and settled in Macoupin County, Illinois. There he opened a blacksmith shop. At President Lincoln's call for volunteers, he closed his shop and enlisted as a private. He eventually rose to Captain of Company E. 122nd infantry. He was the only one, among himself, his father, and two brothers to survive the war. They died while in the Confederate Army. An antique dealer told me some time ago that a photo of A.C. exists in an old history of the county. He served as the county's sheriff in later years. His son, William was his chief deputy and I believe succeeded him as Sheriff. Is anyone out there that could confirm this or have access to a photo of A.C. I've been a " student " of the " late unpleasantness " since a kid in the 1950's and would love to see his photo.
