In Response To: David Pease Monroe, IL ()

This is the David Pease of the 49th IL.Inf..I don't think he is yours since with the birth date you give he would of been 19 at muster not 25 as stated. Phineas is listed as being from Centralia Marion CO.IL.. They might not by related. The data base doesn't show another David Pease as being in the service of any other IL.Regiment.The NPS Soldiers and Sailors System site list's a David A Pease in the 66IL Inf. The note says see 1ALA CAV. which was a Union Regiment. You might find this David A .Pease was from ALA.The 66th IL was originally the 14 MO.Inf a Regiment of Sharpshooters.Became the 66IL.Inf. Nov. of 1862 was unattached to the District of Corinth,MS.till Nov. of 1863. My GGGrandfather an escaped POW met up with a picket of the 66IL south of Reinzi.MS March 25, 1863 Do you know his middle Initial? Hope this helps....
