5th Illinois Cavalry

I am working on a history of the 5th Illinois cavalry and am looking for descendants of the men who served in that regiment. Many soldiers settled in Arkansas after the war.
I would be most interested to hear any stories you may have concerning your ancestor's service, and most grateful if you would share any letters or diaries with me for this history.
