However, this unit started out carrying the Dimick Target Rifle and did so from the Missouri campaigns through Donelson & Shiloh. By the time they built Camp Davies, some of the veterans were using their sign on money to privately purchase Henry Rifles. By the Atlanta Campaign the unit was mixed between Henry Rifles, Dimick Rifles, and some 3-band rifles (Austrians, .58 USRM 1855). There is even a picture of a couple guys known holding Colt Revolving Rifles.
