I'm interested in your forthcoming book and would appreciate your email address so that I can keep abrest of your progress.

My wife's ggrandfather was in the 23rd through Lexington, then transferred to the Navy upon exchange. John J. Kneeland, a Chicago clerk.

Five years ago, driving across country, we stopped at the North Platte Canteen, the famous WWII train stop which greeted and
took care of our men in uniform while transiting the country. On prominent display was the photo of Col. Mulligan.

Of further interest, my ggrandfather, served in the 43rd Tennessee Cavalry, CSA, which was involved in the engagment in the Valley in
which Col. Mulligan received his mortal wound.
