You might want to try the following: Ken Baumann, Arming the Suckers 1861-1865. A Compilation of Illinois Civil War Weapons (Morningside Press, 1989). Baumann used the quarterly ordnance reports for all Illinois regiments, organized the information by regiment and year, so you should be able to quickly discern the information you need. The book covers artillery, cavalry, and infantry regiments. Good luck!
