Hi All,
One of my friends thought there was a regiment of Illinois Infantry at the battle of Cold Harbor in Va. 1864. I know there were at least 2 regts., the 23rd and the 39th at Petersburg Va. in '64 but I don't think there any at Cold Harbor. Can anybody prove me wrong in this belief, even if it is only a couple of companies detached to a battalion. I would be interested. Thanks, bg
