Re: Civil War Prison Exchange October 1862

My 2x great-grandfather Robert E. Wright was in the GA 51st Infantry, Co. F. He was exchanged, and then is in the Winder Div. Hospital in Richmond. He died of pneumonia 7 Dec 1862 in Richmond.

Kurt Graham has written about the Battle at Fox's Gap, Boonesboro (South Mountain), MD.

Turns out another of my 2x great-grandfather's was likely there as well -- in Phillip's Legion!

I'm thinking that Robert E. Wright may well have been buried in Richmond's Hollywood Cemetery, in the Confederate Soldier Section, but they don't seem to have his name listed.

Thanks for all the info on Aiken's Landing!!!

One day soon, maybe, I'll be able to travel to Richmond again. And I'll seek it out.

Another of my great-grands fought at Goodall's Tavern, outside of Richmond. He was wounded pretty severely and was invalided out.
