George covered Aiken's Landing location well. I believe it was originally a private landing for the Aiken family business. As for where he would have been a prisoner in New York; it may well have been at Elmira Prison in Elmira, New York but it could well have been in one or more of the several prisons for southern soldiers in New York Harbor. Castle Williams, Fort Wood, Fort Jay Fort Columbus or David Isle or Holt Isle. There were undoubtedly others but these come to mind quickly.
