I have a CMSR for an individual who was briefly a prisoner of war during the Civil War. On his Memorandum from Prisoner of War Records, I see the acronym CGB and then two volume numbers and page numbers following. Also on this document are the acronyms CP which I understand to mean Camp Parole in Maryland, and CC which I understand to mean Camp Chase in Ohio. Both CP and CC are followed by more volume and page numbers. So, I am inferring from this list that CGB is Camp "something." Can anyone help m figure out what this acronym means, so I can go find those volumes to complete my research?
