Hugh,,Im curious,were you able to get into the Society database file for Edmondson?Found nothing significant about him in the local Texas libraries where he's buried or the Confederate Veteran magazine except that he did contribute to the Camp Morton prisoner memorial fund.

I did find an interesting list of Texas Soldiers either in prison or having died at Ft.Delaware in the Wednesday,December 7,1864 issue of the,Galveston Tri-Weekly News."About 190...A few excerpts as follows;

T.C.Matthews - August 25th,1863;Co.K,5th.Infantry(shot)

A.H.Whitesides - Co.G,4th.Infantry & James Tubbs - Co.H,1st Infantry drowned in the Delaware River,while attempting to escape on the night of November 14th,1863.

Also did find Mamie Yeary's,"Reminiscences of the Boys in Gray" online at the website THE PORTALS TO TEXAS HISTORY.
