Hugh...Mamie Yeary's book was published at McGregor,Tx..Its so big and heavy(900 pages) afraid it might smush my scanner but will figure out a way to get the pages to you.Mamie begain gathering reminiscenses from Confederate soldiers living in Texas as a child when she was growing up in Farmersville. Is often not cited because the absence of an index I presume.Only the soldiers names are alphabatized. To my knowledge it is not online.

It's interesting Edmondson says they spent 6 hours in the water and landed at Newcastle which appears UP Delaware Bay from the prison on my OR Atlas map..Perhaps aided by the tide? Then 4 miles to what he calls a crossing of the Newcastle River. Then without unusual incident across the Susquehanna and Potomoc to Dixie.Receiving aid from several apparant Southern sympathisers along the way.

I will have to go down and hunt Edmondson up. He was in Forreston,Tx.in 1912 just a few miles from where Im at.
