Hugh, what about Camp Douglas? My other great uncle, Francis A. Boring, also of Co. A, 18th Ga., spent the last year of the war at Douglas. His pension application claimed he contracted rheumatism there, due to exposure. Toward the end of his life, he was confined to his room, barely able to walk.
