Meeting on Conestoga

In his short book, "The Union, and Its Ally, Russia," Charles de Arnaud wrote that ". . . on January 6, 1862, General Grant, Commodore Foote, and myself met on the gunboat Conestoga, at Cairo and talked [the Tennessee River] campaign over."

I find no reference to the January 6, 1862 meeting in the Official Records, Grant’s memoirs, Simon’s Papers of Ulysses S. Grant, Tucker’s biography of Foote, or Jay Slagle's biography of Seth Ledyard Phelps. Do any members know of documentation indicating the meeting took place?
