Along with the above mentioned vessels present on January 1, 1863 at Galveston, Texas are the following:

Two Barks loaded with coal captured on Jan. 1, 1863 by Confederate forces mentioned in the proceedings of the court of enquiry convined aboard the U.S.S. Hartford on January 12, 1863 to investigate the losses. Barks Cavallo and Elias Pike.

Mention of two army transports, Saxon and M.A. Boardman, used to transport Lt. Cdr. Law and crew from grounded U.S.S. Westfield. The two transports are described as "Lying near him".
