Terry, everything I'm seeing on the Internet about Fort Fisher gives a figure of around 60 vessels participating. There were at least 104 boats up the Red River during that campaign, so unless the Internet sources are ignoring some of the naval forces at Fisher, the Red River Campaign still has a substantial lead. (Although I have been recently told by Dr. Gary Joiner that there were 174 boats at Shiloh, but only two of those were armed.)
