Captain T. Harrison Baker had her armament increased in preparation for running out according to Christman's "Undaunted: The History of Fort McAllister, Georgia." During the action that destroyed her, Commander John L. Worden of the USS Montauk noted that "At 9:20 a.m. a large pivot gun mounted abaft her foremast exploded from the heat."
Silverstone lists her as having "2-12pdr" initially.
I wonder if she had a second pivot at the stern? As a locally outfitted privateer I doubt she would have had large rifled cannon, so the pivots were probably smoothbores that the CSA/CSN was willing to part with.
