Based on the information given I did a quick check in Cooling's Fort Henry/Donelson work as well as Gott's. I also checked Spruill's guide to Lookout Mountain, and Cozzens Chattanooga work. No luck.

I was hoping I would find a likely suspect as a CS boat in a sketch for Fort Henry/Donelson or as a US vessel at Chattanooga. In either case I thought it might be uncredited in the background. Perhaps a call to the NPS at those two locations might turn up a suspect, for example a photo or drawing from Lookout Mountain looking down on the river shortly after the "Battle Above the Clouds."
