Thanks, Terry. Yes, it was a Morgan company. I've since found more information on how they converted her. Her armament changed between 1862 and 1864 at least once. She was really more of a semi-armored vessel, probably comparable to the Pook Turtles (though more lightly armed). She was classified as a "ram" implying an ironed bow similar to those on the Mississippi. She doesn't seem to have been given a waterline ironed belt or a knuckle and would have been vulnerable in that area and aft.
