In the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, Series I, Volume 32, Part III, Confederate Corresponce,Serial No. 59, The inspection report by Brig. Gen. William Pendleton of the Artillery service of the Army of Tennessee, dated March 29, 1864, states the artillery of the army as:

12 Pounder Napoleon smoothbore, 53

12 Pounder Field Howitzer 27

3" Rifles 6

10 Pounder Parrotts 10

6 Pounder Field Gun, smoothbore 15

Total Field Guns 111

In the book, Lost for the Cause, by Steven H Newton, published by Savas Publishing in 2000, ISBN #1-882-810-49-X, Mentions the Army of Tennessee, had on hand:
