Was involved in a discussion last week as I was wandering around Virginia CW sites and was asked what the most common artillary piece used in Missouri during the war was. My first inclination was Moutain Howitzer but then the question of which one, 6 pounder, 12 pounder, etc. 1835 1841 models? Leftovers from Mexican war? Any thoughts anyone?
