I am attempting to construct an accurate Order of Battle for the Union forces in the Sooy Smith Expedition (Meridian Campaign). For the artillery, I have identified the following:

1st Illinois Light Artillery, Battery "K"
4th Missouri Cavalry, Co. M (4 12-pdr mountain howitzers)
2nd Iowa Cavalry (4 12-pdr mountain howitzers)

In official reports, the union commanders claim twenty (20) guns. First of all, does anyone know the armament of the 1st Illinois Light Artillery, Battery "K", in February of 1864. And, does anyone know the additional batteries that were with the Union forces. I presume there were additional mountain howitzer batteries imbedded with some of the cavalry regiments?
