I want to thank you for referring me to your book. I located a copy in the local library and found a great deal of useful information. My great grandfather applied for a pension following the war. I have a copy of that application. The facts noted on the application are identical to the accounts you have recorded regarding the Pelican Artillery. Also of special interest was the article on the Donaldsonville Artillery. Captains Victor Maurin and R. Prosper Landry both have places in my family history.
