Good's Texas Battery

Pea Ridge has given up in it quest to find an original Quinby & Robinson tube for its new exhibits. We found some Q & R’s and even saw one last week in Gettysburg, but we have decided to get a reproduction tube and talk about Good’s Texas Battery. John Good had six guns here, four 12-pounder cannon and two 12-pound howitzers. We know we can get a howitzer with no problem, but we are going for a big bang piece and since this will be the first thing you'll see when you walk in the door of the Visitor Center. We have a very nice 12 solid shot that was picked up here 70 years ago and just returned to us that is going to go with this exhibit and we thought the cannon would be a better thing to have.

Here is our problem. We know they had 12 pounders, but what type? M-1841’s my personal favorite, an M-1857 or something else. Where can I look to find out? While I have the personnel records for the unit (partial), I do not have equipment returns. Anyone have any ideas?
