I tried to join the forum so I could contact the poster but for some reason I never got the confirmation email. I'd love to find out if he has anything else, even just biographical info on his ancestor. All I have in my files is that his name was William Thompson, that he served in Grave's Battery before joining Cobb's Battery, and that he lost his right arm at Stones River. I had his middle initial as "M" though for some reason.
