Thanks for the reply. Sorry if I seem ignorant to live fire procedures. I am. I was trying to determine from John if there was a sabot involved since he indicated you were not using strapped rounds. I'm in Mechanicsville, we buy powder from Back Creek that is adjacent to Ft. Shenandoah. I've got a lot of friends that shoot muskets and carbines but I've never experienced artillery live fire. I want to get involved in this as do my fellow cannoneers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
