As far as I know, the Selbe brothers John and Chris did not reenlist in the Regiment following their first year of service. They moved to Kansas shortly thereafter. An interesting family story is that they had a new, unnamed baby brother when they returned home in 1862. Supposedly Captain Alonzo Wilson had saved one of the brother's lives during a firefight and so they named the brother Alonzo Wilson Selbe.
