Issac Rush born 1840 Monroe Co Ohio enlisted in the 11th West Virgina Inf Volunteers June 29 1861. Some records list him as deserting at Wirt Court House Dec 10, 1861. Others such as the Adj General's report list him as killed Dec 1861.

Family lore has him going of to war and never returning with no information as to what happened to him.

Any hints about what was going on at Wirt Court House in Dec '61. I think thats early for the skirmish reported there in the OR. If anybody has info on the unit history I'd be interested.
