prior to Corinth the 36IL.Was part of Asboth's Pea Ridge Div..At Rienzi, the 44IL. Inf,15 MO.Inf.2nd Iowa Inf.36IL.Inf.,47IL.Inf.Map lists 7IL.Cav. but, I believe It was the 7IL.Inf. mounted. The reason I think that is because after Shiloh the dwindled 7IL. helped make a cordaroy road from Hamburg Landing to Farmington.7IL.Inf. was my GGUncles Regiment.7IL.Cav. were in middle TN.at the time.7 Kansas Cav.is interesting.Back to the battery.Hoffman's Battery and Welfey's Battery were with the 36IL.at Pea Ridge.I thought they might of followed to MS.With the arrival of the Pea Ridge Divs.May 28,1862 at Hamburg Landing the 6Wisc.Battery was assigned to Gen Asboth. The 29th upon arrival at Farmington reporting to Gen. Pope. The 6th of June Pope reached Booneville and camped on the tracks of the Mobile & Ohio.Retreated to Rienzi June 12 officially map said June 10,1862.The history of the Thirty-Sixth IL.states they move from Rienzi a mile farther north two days after arriving for a better camp and shade. That being the June 12 date.I appreciate all your help .Anyone interested I could send you a copy or figure out how to post here. Thanks
