Johnny Reb, Thank you .I was trying to identify the battery on a hand written map Of Rienzi,MS.dated June 10.1862 written by my GGGrandfather at that time Sgt.John F.Elliott 36IL.Inf.Co.K. The Thirty-Sixth IL.was part of Pope's Army.Chased retreating Confederates to Booneville returning to Rienzi building earthworks. All the Regiments are marked but the battery isn't. Guns grouped in twos and threes totalling six emplacements and twelve guns. One is directly on the tracks facing south. The next question might be is how many guns are in an Artillery Regiment?
