Pvt. George A. Manter, 52nd Wis. Inf.

Searching for letters, journals, and other personal and public documents referencing the life and military service of George A. Manter (Mantor), who served as a private in Company A of the Fifty-second Wisconsin Infantry. His military service was brief: He enlisted in March 1865, and mustered out in July 1865. According to the 1860 census, he was eleven years old and lived in Portland, Dodge County, Wisconsin, with Noah Mantor, a 40-year-old farmer born in New York.

Any and all help appreciated.
