Actually- the date should be between April, 2 and April 6th, 1865, either at the breakthrough at Petersburg or at Saylor's Creek.

The flag in question is an ANV Fourth Bunting issue. The 5th Wisconsin also captured the flag of the 25th Virginia in the Wilderness in 1864 (WD 122).
