On July 4, 2006 at 10:30AM there will be a Commemoration at Veteran's Park, Thorp, Wisconsin honoring the 50+ Civil War Veterans buried in Clark County. Special recognition will be for the 30 Veterans buried in the East Thorp Village Cemetery, and the fact that 20+ badly weathered tombstones have been replaced through the efforts of the local American Legion working tirelessly with the VA.
